Charitable Foundation
The One51 Charitable Foundation (the Foundation) was created ahead of the reconstruction of the Irish Agricultural Wholesale Society (the Society) and the subsequent incorporation of One51 plc. It was very generously sponsored by the co-operative members of the Society who gifted assets to the Foundation.
The Foundation is chaired by Philip Lynch (One51 plc CEO) and continues the philanthropic spirit of Horace Plunkett, father of the co-operative movement in Ireland and founder of the Irish Agricultural Wholesale Society in 1897. One51 plc assists the Foundation by providing a serviced office at 151 Thomas Street and One51 plc employees frequently lend their time and expertise to the Foundation pro-bono to further its charitable work.
The One51 Charitable Foundation is focused on programmes which promote and support:
- Sustainable Development and Sufficiency Initiatives
- Community Centred Capacity Building
- Poverty Reduction and Educational Development
