Renewable Energy: NTR
One51's 24% stake in NTR remains the company's most significant renewable energy investment to date. NTR is a leading international developer and operator of Wind, Solar and Bio-Fuel assets, primarily in the US. NTR also has substantial waste management businesses in Ireland and the US, under the Greenstar name.
In Wind Energy NTR has a majority stake in Wind Capital Group, a US wind-farm developer. In Solar Energy, NTR has a controlling interest in Sterling Energy Systems (SES) and its sister company Tessera Solar. This will see the development of large scale solar thermal energy projects in the South Western US, and beyond. In Bio-Ethanol, NTR owns approximately 36% of US ethanol and agronomy company Green Plains Renewable Energy. Green Plains is the fourth largest producer of fuel grade ethanol in the US and the company is actively exploring the utility of next-generation bio-fuels.

OTHER RENEWABLE ENERGY
OpenHydro
The Group's other renewable energy interest is OpenHydro, an
underwater tidal turbine developer. Electricity de France (EDF)
recently selected OpenHydro for its pilot tidal turbine farm in
Brittany, France.
